YTHDF2 exerts tumor-suppressor roles in gastric cancer via up-regulating PPP2CA independently of m6A modification - Biological Procedures Online

Background YTHDF2 is one of important readers of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification on RNA. Growing evidence implicates that YTHDF2 takes an indispensable part in the regulation of tumorigenesis and metastasis in...
Conclusions: These findings demonstrate that YTHDF2 is down-regulated in GC and its down-regulation promotes GC progression via a possible mechanism involving PPP2CA expression, suggesting that YTHDF2 may be a hopeful biomarker for diagnosis and an unrevealed treatment target for GC.
T1 Gastric Cancer is Associated With a High Incidence of Regional Lymph Node Metastases
Source : https://www.journalofsurgicalresearch.com/article/S0022-4804(22)00830-7/fulltext
Early stage gastric cancer, particularly T1 disease, is associated with high recurrence-free and overall survival rates following resection with curative intent. However, rare cases of T1 gastric cancer have nodal...
Conclusions: T1 gastric cancer is associated with a substantial risk (17%) of regional LN metastasis, when pathologically staged following surgical resection and D2 lymphadenectomy. Clinically staged N disease by EUS was not significantly associated with pathologically staged N disease in these patients.
Phase II clinical trial of sequential treatment with systemic chemotherapy and intraperitoneal paclitaxel for gastric and gastroesophageal junction peritoneal carcinomatosis - STOPGAP trial - BMC Cancer
Source : https://bmccancer.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12885-023-10680-1
Background Studies from Asia indicate that normothermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (NIPEC) may confer survival benefit in patients with gastric peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). However, data regarding this approach is lacking in western...
Conclusions: If the sequential approach of systemic chemotherapy followed by paclitaxel NIPEC proves beneficial, then this approach could be used in larger, muti-institutional randomized clinical trial of gastric PC.
Overview of Chemotherapy for Gastric Cancer - PubMed
Source : https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36835872/
Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most clinically challenging cancers worldwide. Over the past few years, new molecular-targeted agents and immunotherapy have markedly improved GC prognosis. Human epidermal growth...
Conclusions: New promising molecular-targeted agents are also being developed, and combination therapy comprising immunotherapy and molecular-targeted agents is expected. As the number of available drugs increases, it is important to understand the target biomarkers and drug characteristics and select the optimal therapy for each patient. For...
Expression of AKRs superfamily and prognostic in human... : Medicine
l of AKRs in GC patients and the survival data and immune infiltration based on AKRs expression, using data from different databases. We found that the expression levels of AKR1B10,...
Conclusions: We hope that our work will contribute to existing knowledge, improve clinical treatment regimens, provide more guiding theories to utilize the AKRs superfamily and potential targets for GC diagnosis and treatment, and improve outcomes for GC patients.
