Search for Synergistic Drug Combinations to Treat Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia - PubMed

Source : https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36429097/

Finding synergistic drug combinations is an important area of cancer research. Here, we sought to rationally design synergistic drug combinations with an inhibitor of BTK kinase, ibrutinib, which is used...

Conclusions: Based on this analysis, we established that inhibitors of proteasome and mTORC1 could synergize with ibrutinib both in vitro and in vivo. We suggest that FDA-approved inhibitors of these pathways could be effectively combined with ibrutinib for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).

Clinical implications of circulating tumor DNA in predicting the outcome of diffuse large B cell lymphoma patients receiving first-line therapy - BMC Medicine

Clinical implications of circulating tumor DNA in predicting the outcome of diffuse large B cell lymphoma patients receiving first-line therapy - BMC Medicine

Source : https://bmcmedicine.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12916-022-02562-3

Background Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) has been proven to be a promising tumor-specific biomarker in solid tumors, but its clinical utility in risk stratification and early prediction of relapse for...

Conclusions: "Conclusions: CtDNA is a promising noninvasive tool for prognosis prediction, response assessment, and early relapse prediction of first-line treatment in DLBCL patients."

Anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T cells secreting anti-PD-L1 single-chain variable fragment attenuate PD-L1 mediated T cell inhibition

Anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T cells secreting anti-PD-L1 single-chain variable fragment attenuate PD-L1 mediated T cell inhibition

Anti-CD19-CAR5-T cells exerted more effective cytotoxicity than anti-CD19-CAR4-T cells at a low effector-to-target ratio. * Cytotoxicity of anti-CD19-CAR4-T cells was inhibited by upregulations of PD-1 on CAR-T cells and PD-L1...

/>

Conclusions: Our findings demonstrate the combination antitumor efficiency of anti-CD19-CAR4-T cells and anti-PD-L1 scFv against CD19 /PD-L1high tumors. As such, anti-CD19-CAR5-T cells should be further investigated in vivo antitumor efficiency and clinical trials as a treatment for aggressive B cell lymphoma.

Pembrolizumab for patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma: phase 1b KEYNOTE-013 study

Pembrolizumab for patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma: phase 1b KEYNOTE-013 study

Source : https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/10428194.2022.2136956

Abstract Abstract The multicohort phase 1b KEYNOTE-013 study (NCT01953692) evaluated the safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab in patients with relapsed or refractory NHL who were ineligible for or failed hematopoietic...

Relevance: In this current study, modest response rates to pembrolizumab monotherapy were observed in patients with R/R DLBCL and R/R FL. Results from this current study were consistent with those seen in phase 1 and phase 2 studies in patients who had R/R DLBCL and R/R FL treated with nivolumab monotherapy.

tive study was conducted focusing on the effectiveness and safety of PolaBR in everyday clinical practice. Fifty-five patients were enrolled. There were 26 females (47.3%), 32 patients were primary refractory...

Conclusions: Our data add useful information on the effectiveness of Pola(B)R in the setting of heavily pretreated DLBCL and may also suggest a better tolerability in absence of bendamustine without compromise of efficacy.
