Patients with CMML are frequently treated with epigenetic therapeutic approaches, in particular the hypomethylating agents (HMAs), azacitidine (Aza) and decitabine (Dec). Although HMAs are believed to mediate their efficacy via re-expression of hypermethylated tumor suppressors, knowledge about relevant HMA targets is scarce.
