Here’s a clinical question:
Elderly smoker with a large lung mass and hilar adenopathy diagnosed as adenocarcinoma on EBUS. Patient has widespread metastases. Just enough tumor in the cell block to make the diagnosis but insufficient for molecular. Do you go for one of the mets or try liquid biopsy (Guardant)? How about PD-L1? With limited tumor cells it may not be reliable in the cell block.
